About Author:

William P. Phelon was one of the organizing members of the American Section of the Theosophical Society in 1886, when it was established as a semi-autonomous unit in the international organization.
Dr Phelon and his wife helped found the first TS lodge in Chicago in 1884 and both wrote articles for various esoteric journals including the Theosophical magazine Lucifer. They also joined the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor in 1887.

They also founded an organisation called the Hermetic Brotherhood of Atlantis, Luxor and Elphantae (which, according to one source, had 200-300 members) and wrote a few books such as "Three Sevens: A story of ancient Initiations" and "Our story of Atlantis".
