Hugh Mynne was born in 1950 in Crosby, England. He graduated from the Univerisity College of North Wales with a B.A. Honours degree in religious studies. His early spiritual training was in the Japanese Zen tradition, and he obtained a preliminary "Kensho" (glimpse of reality) within this tradition. Mr. Mynne currently lives in Ireland, where he gives seminars and workshops on shamanic tecniques of healing, and coordinates a group studying the Faerie Tradition. He is married to the esoteric artist Eve Reid, and they share their cottage in County Derry with twenty-five cats.
